The Rural Municipality (RM) of Kellross No. 247 is located in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada and is home to a number of fertile farmlands. Agriculture is a key component of the local economy and the RM is known for producing a variety of crops.
The RM of Kellross No. 247 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 13, 1909. It takes its name from the blend of the names of the villages of Kelliher and Leross, which are located within the RM. The RM is surrounded by the villages of Kelliher, Leross, and Lestock, and also includes the unincorporated communities of Enid and McDonald Hills.
According to the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the RM of Kellross No. 247 had a population of 396 living in 181 of its 217 total private dwellings. The RM has a land area of 809.22 km2 (312.44 sq mi) and a population density of 0.5/km2 (1.3/sq mi).
The RM is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the seventh day of each month. The reeve of the RM is John Olinik and the administrator is Edith Goddard. The RM's office is located in Leross.
The RM is served by several transportation options, including Saskatchewan Highway 15, Saskatchewan Highway 35, Saskatchewan Highway 639, Saskatchewan Highway 731, and the Canadian National Railway. The RM is home to several attractions, including the Kelliher & District Museum, the Kellross Heritage Museum, and the Touchwood Hills Post Provincial Historic Park.
